Let’s face it, we all need people in our corner who can encourage us and keep us accountable. We need friends. We need people to say hello to. We need people who know us — and like us. We don’t live out our faith (or our life) in isolation, and finding people to walk alongside you here at Lakeside is easier than you think.
You just have to take the first step.
We believe that life change is best facilitated in small groups. Why? Simply, God created us to live in community. We were created to have a relationship with Him and with others. Genuine life change occurs within the context of relationships.
We love it when people serve with enthusiasm in roles they’re passionate about and in areas where they’re gifted. Volunteering your time on a Sunday morning or during the week is a great way to meet new people.
Lakeside Missions is focused on working globally and locally in partnership with local leaders and missionaries to help make a difference in the lives of people in our community and in third world countries.
Alpha is widely acknowledged as the very best overview and introduction to the Christian faith available today. Alpha provides a wonderful opportunity to ask and explore questions that may be new to you, and questions that you may have avoided in the past.
Get together with people who are in the same stage of life or who share similiar interests. Maybe that’s praying together, checking out our singles ministry, the 55+ club (for those who are young at heart), our young adults group (for those between 18-30), our Wednesday night youth group, or get to know other families with young kids. There are a wide variety of people and groups here.
We’re just a quick email or phone call away. Check out who we are and what we do — and look for us on Sunday mornings. We’re the ones with the silver name tags.
We’ve got lots of them – breakfasts, dessert nights, movie nights, youth events, all-nighters – the list goes on. These events are designed to help you connect with other people and may help you grow in your walk with God. And sometimes we just like to have fun!
