Thank you for the gift of holidays, God.
The gift of floating timelessly through a day,
Guided only by whims and wonder.
Obligations put aside, demands silenced,
I have eyes to see, really see, the beauty all around me –
Earth crammed with heaven.
This luxury, I know, is not afforded to all.
Thank you!
Thank you for this pause, this chance to catch my breath
And feed my soul.
To reboot my spirit and rejuvenate my mind.
To rest my body.
Refresh and rejuvenate me in this oasis of time
And may I return to ‘common’ life carrying with me this sanctuary of soul.
