God, I know I can be selfish.
I know how easy it is to choose me.
How slippery the slope to self.
When I begin to slide, God, remind me that of all the things I put on each morning, love is the greatest of all.
I want to wear love on my face, in my heart, in my words, in my actions.
I want to be patient with others.
I want to slow down.
I want to be with people.
I want to know their stories, hear their pain, share their joy.
I want my focus to shift from me to you,
To the people you love.
To the people you have placed in my path.
God, help me to choose love in all I do.
