We are looking for a full-time candidate who is passionate about the mission of the Church and is gifted, skilled, and experienced in the area of creating worship experiences that provide space for people to encounter God. This person would be one of three key persons on the Lead Team (in lieu of a Lead Pastor), collaborating with the Lead Team and Elders to develop and implement the future direction of the church, ensuring alignment with our Statement on Belief and Practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Worship:
- With the Lead Team/Preaching Team, discern and vision a robust, experiential worship culture that creates space to encounter God
- Help to plan and create special services (Good Friday, Easter, Christmas Eve, etc.)
- Source new artists and music incorporating a variety of styles and genres
- Vet all lyrics for theological integrity and cultural accessibility
- Create worship experiences beyond Sunday mornings
- Develop and skill-up worship leaders and musicians
- Work with the Youth Pastor to create a Youth Worship Team/Band
- Oversee and schedule Worship and Tech teams using Planning Center
- Secure and maintain any licensing, click tracks, lyric resources, or tech contracts and subscriptions
- Budget music and tech needs
Leadership:
- Collaborate with the Lead Team and Elders to develop and implement the future direction of the church, ensuring alignment with our Statement on Belief and Practice
- Work with the Lead Team to develop discipleship and transformation opportunities
- Work closely with other ministry leaders and volunteers to support various ministries and church activities
- Supervise staff as required
Expectations:
- Being a baptized follower of Jesus and demonstrates the integrity and lifestyle of such a claim
- Having a strong commitment to and alignment with Lakeside Church’s Statement on Belief and Practice (attached)
- Attending Elder meetings
- Living in such a way that upholds the reputation of Jesus and Lakeside Church
- Exercising discernment and caution on Social Media recognizing that one represents Lakeside Church
Qualifications:
- A master’s degree in theology or divinity from an accredited institution
- Proven experience in pastoral ministry, with a strong background in worship and music leadership
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as an equal in a Lead Team environment.
Assets:
- Ability to communicate (teach/preach) in a dynamic, culturally relevant and theologically informed manner mindful of a dual audience of both churched and unchurched people
- Experience engaging with the community beyond the church, collaborating with other churches and organizations to leverage resources and bless the city

The Rental Team plays an essential role in supporting the success of after-hours events and facility rentals at Lakeside. This position requires flexibility, adaptability, and a customer-oriented approach to ensure smooth event operations. The ideal candidate will be able to manage a variety of tasks and responsibilities, from setting up event spaces to assisting guests, ensuring building security, and maintaining cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Set-up and Tear-down: Assist with the set-up and tear-down of furniture, tables, chairs, and event equipment according to the specific needs of the event.
- Facility Management: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of public spaces, including cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, and ensuring high-touch surfaces are sanitized.
- Guest Assistance: Provide friendly, professional assistance to event guests, including greeting and directing attendees, answering questions, and offering general support during the event.
- Security: Lock and secure the building at the conclusion of events, ensuring all doors and windows are properly closed and locked.
- Problem-Solving: Address any issues or concerns that arise during events.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Be prepared to take on other tasks as required, depending on the needs of the event or rental.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing demands.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and set up furniture and event equipment as needed.
- Experience in event set-up, customer service, or facility maintenance is a plus but not required.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve any unexpected situations during events.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
- Must be available evenings and/or weekends.
Additional Requirements:
- Will be required to complete a brief orientation and safety training.
- Background check may be required.
- Must have ow transportation (or be able to get to Lakeside). We are not on a bus route.
Job Type: Casual / Hourly
Hourly Rate: $21
