There are a variety of opportunities available at Lakeside Central. No matter what you like to do or how you’re gifted, there’s something for you to do. Being part of a church family means that no one gets left out – everyone has something to do. So if you’re not sure where to begin, we’ve got two suggestions:
Are you a people person? Do you like to make people feel welcome?
Be the first to welcome guests as soon as they arrive, answer questions, and make sure everyone (the newcomer and the regular attender) feels welcome!
Are you passionate about helping the brokenhearted?
Griefwalk journeys with people who have suffered life losses, giving them hope in the midst of their pain. We are looking for Facilitators and Hosts to lead our Support Groups, as well as a Food Coordinator, Kitchen Help, Event Planner and Database Coordinator. Training and supports are all provided.

Love the outdoors?
Help feed the poor and share your passion for gardening in the HOPE House garden, located behind the barn at Lakeside Central. We need help planting crops, weeding on a weekly basis, and harvesting.
Are you great at building relationships with a few kids? Enjoy helping out?
In this role, you support the Small Group Leader and serve as a much-needed extra set of hands. You are great at building relationships with a few kids.
Are you comfortable being on stage?
Do you like telling stories?
As a Lakeside Kids host you are energetic and love being on stage! You help create an energetic and large group experience for kids and keep the program running smoothly. As fun as it is to be on stage, everything that you do has a greater purpose to help kids encounter God.
Are you great at building relationships with kids? Willing to invest in them?
We are looking for great people who want to have fun while investing in the lives of kids from birth to Grade 5. As a Small Group Leader, you consistently connect with a small group of kids through fun activities that help kids discover and fully follow Jesus.
Are you a people person? Do you like making kids feel welcome?
You are committed to creating a first impression that is welcoming and friendly for kids and their families, especially first-time guests. By clicking a few buttons, you also help our new families navigate our secure check-in process.
Do you like being outdoors? Are you friendly and energetic?
Parking team members are the first faces of Lakeside. Team members help out approximately once every five weeks on a Sunday morning throughout the year (summer and winter).

Are you comfortable with a camera?
Our volunteer photography team takes pictures of our Sunday morning gatherings and special events. Must have your own gear and be comfortable taking quality pictures that can be used on our website and social media. Flexible commitment.
Want to help make our services available to those who can't physically attend?
We're looking for volunteers interested in learning the art of podcast preparation. No experience necessary – all training provided. Work from the comfort of your own home. Must have computer access and reliable WiFi.
Are you looking for an opportunity to be a blessing to others?
Consider joining the Prayer Team. Opportunities available on Monday nights, Wednesday mornings, or Sunday mornings. All that’s required is a heart for prayer.

Our Security Team helps create a safe space on Sunday morning for our entire church community.
Do you enjoy helping people connect over food?
The Solid Rock Cafe is looking for volunteers who enjoy preparing and serving food to work as part of a small team one Monday evening per month. No experience necessary. Relaxing atmosphere and not labour intensive.
Is your schedule flexible? Do you prefer to step up when there's a need?
Each week, Lakeside hosts dozens of ministry events and we’re quickly becoming a favourite venue for community group rentals. We also host funerals, weddings and other special events and conferences. We are looking for volunteers to join our Special Events Team to help on an occasional basis.
Do you want to help our rental groups have a fantastic rental?
Each week, Lakeside hosts dozens of ministry events and community group rentals. We are looking for volunteers to join our tech team to help on an occasional basis. We will provide free training on all technology – no experience necessary. Each event is unique, providing variety and opportunity.
Do you want to help at Lakeside but find weekends too busy?
Do you have time mid-week and like to work with your hands? Our stage set-up team might be just the thing for you. Training provided.
Are you more of a “behind the scenes” person. Love to learn?
We provide free (yes, free) training on the technology that we use each weekend to help facilitate the Sunday morning gathering. We're looking for volunteers to help with sound, lighting, cameras and more.
Do you like making people
feel welcome and comfortable?
Ushers hand out programs, help people find seats, and collect offering during the gathering.
Do you play an instrument? Sing? Would you like to help lead people in worship?
We place a high value on musical worship, understanding its value and power, being an important aspect of the gathering of believers on Sunday mornings. We are seeking experienced people for all instrumental and vocal positions.

We believe that a key ingredient in a teen’s faith journey is having consistent adults in their life who lead them to Jesus. We are looking for people with leadership abilities and a heart for teens to help on Wednesday evenings or Sunday mornings.
