War. Riots. Inflation. Hate. Scandal. Every news cycle seems to carry another load of disappointment. No wonder phrases like “Losing hope in humanity” are more and more common. This Easter, we go back to the first one and enter into that all too familiar feeling: Hopelessness. The first Easter, there were no Christians. Just a bunch of distraught, disappointed, disillusioned disciples. The story has a happy ending… but that ending is not found in a sacred text, religious leader, or spiritual process. It’s found in a person… and that person changes everything.
