First Time

COME ON IN.

We’re glad you’re here. Lakeside is a community helping people discover and fully follow Jesus. It’s a place where you can be yourself without fear of judgment or condemnation, and we hope you feel like this is a place you can belong.

WHEN & WHERE

  • Lakeside Central | 7654 Conservation Road, Guelph ON | 10:00 a.m.
  • Lakeside Downtown | 75 Norfolk Street, Guelph ON | 11:00 a.m.

We have Sunday morning worship gatherings at two locations – our north site (Lakeside Central) and our downtown site (Lakeside Downtown). At both locations, we’ve got music and a message and coffee – of course!

At Lakeside Central, there is a main auditorium with theatre-style seating. There is also a cafe if you prefer to sit at a table, or you’re just not sure about this whole “church thing” yet. It’s a casual and comfortable way to check out what happens here on a Sunday morning.

For those who love the downtown scene, use bus transportation, prefer a later service time, or just enjoy a smaller, intimate community atmosphere, you may want to check out Lakeside Downtown.

If you’re not sure you’re ready to meet us in person, that’s OK. We live stream the message from Lakeside Central every Sunday at 10:00 a.m.

Check out some of our past messages here.

When you’re ready to stop by, we’ll be waiting!

COMMON QUESTIONS

Q. What can I expect on Sunday morning?

A. Our worship gathering runs just over an hour. We love multi-generational worship so everyone starts out together in the auditorium/sanctuary. We sing some songs and then we pray for our kids before they head off to their own program. That’s followed by an offering, another song, and a message from one of our pastors. Typically on the third Sunday of the month we celebrate communion. You are welcome to engage with those pieces however you feel most comfortable.

Q. Where should I park?

A. If you’re coming to Lakeside Central, come in the second driveway (just past the sign). There will be friendly volunteers in brightly coloured vests waiting to help you park. If you need to drop someone off at the front door (it can be a bit of a walk to the main entrance) or you need to park in one of our special needs spots, just put on your left signal at the top of the laneway and our parking volunteers will direct you!

If you’re planning to visit our downtown site, there is street parking along Cork Street and other downtown streets.

Q. What should I wear?

A. Our culture is casual but we invite you to dress however you are most comfortable.

Q. Is there a program for my kids?

A. We have a fun and engaging children’s program for kids up to Grade 5 at both locations, and we have a secure check-in process that ensures the safety of your little ones. You can register your children ahead of time by clicking here. Students in Grades 6-8 also have their own gathering at our main site on Sunday mornings in the Youth Lounge (located beside the Kids Check-In Station).

Q. Can I bring my coffee?

A. Absolutely! Bring your favourite coffee or grab one on your way in (or after the gathering). Coffee can be brought into the auditorium/sanctuary, but to avoid spills, a lid is recommended. We proudly serve fair trade, organic coffee from Planet Bean at both locations.

At our downtown site, we start with coffee every Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. before the gathering. It’s a great time to hang out, meet others, and get connected.

Q. Will I be singled out?

A. Never. We won’t make you stand up, introduce yourself, or put up your hand. We know it can be scary walking into a new environment, and we want you to be as comfortable as possible. If you fill out a connection card while you’re here, we’ll be able to email or text you to help you get connected.
