Support & Recovery

Celebrate Recovery

The purpose of Lakeside Church’s Celebrate Recovery ministry is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the “8 Recovery Principles.” We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviours. Right now, Celebrate Recovery at Lakeside meets ONLINE every Monday night at 7:00 p.m. For more information or to join a support group, please contact Johanna Kelly at jkelly@lakesidechurch.ca, or visit celebraterecovery.ca to learn more about the program. You can also request to sign up for a group here.

DivorceCare

DivorceCare is a 13-session course designed to help you face the challenges of separation and divorce and move toward rebuilding your life. Each DivorceCare session has two distinct elements: During the first 30-40 minutes of the meeting, each DivorceCare group watches a video seminar followed by a support group with focus. After viewing the video DivorceCare group participants spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in the lives of group members. Please see the DivorceCare website for more information. Each topic stands on its own so new members are welcome every week.

For more information about DivorceCare, please email divorcecare@lakesidechurch.ca or sign up for the winter session which begins Jan. 26, by clicking here.

Griefwalk

Griefwalk was born in 2010 out of the desire to care for the brokenhearted; those who are grieving and mourning over life’s losses. In a world that is often grief avoidant, we want to offer a safe place to find understanding, hope, care and compassion on your journey.

We believe that we can all experience healing from life’s losses. We also believe that the work of healing is done better with other people, who understand and provide a compassionate and open heart, in a place of refuge where healing can be supported.

No matter where you are on your grief journey, we offer programs, groups and resources to help. Click here to find out about our current groups or email griefwalk@lakesidechurch.ca.
