One of our core values here at Lakeside is to take our faith outside the walls of the church. And we love partnering with organizations who are deep in the trenches of loving people and making a difference in our world.
That’s why we’re asking Lakesiders to join the Walk4Freedom here in Guelph on Saturday, Oct. 17.
Walk4Freedom is Fight4Freedom’s annual awareness and fundraising event. We will pray and walk in areas where sex trafficking is known to happen (yes, right here in Guelph) and raise awareness with each step. The walk helps raise funds in the fight against sex trafficking and supports the work of outreach, education, prevention, awareness and survivor care.
So will you join us?
You can walk with the Guelph group (socially distanced of course), you can walk the route on your own when you have time, or simply walk in your house or your neighbourhood.
Register for the Guelph walk here.
The cost to register is $30/person (includes a W4F T-shirt if you register before Oct. 14)!
Fight4Freedom exists to be an active voice and advocate of justice for individuals impacted by the sex trade and trafficking and to assist them in finding necessary support systems that will aid in their journey to safety, freedom, and restoration.
