God, I awoke this morning to a resplendent sunrise
And found I had no words, just wonder.
I sat savouring my morning mug of warmth
And found I had no words, just sighs.
Today, my media feeds reported on so much tragedy
And I had no words, just deep sadness.
God, accept my wonder and sighs and sadness as prayer.
As my spirit and body moan and laugh and weep wordless prayers.
Because I have no adequate words.
