Lakeside Church

New to Lakeside?

Are you ready for more? Are you you looking for meaning and purpose in your life? Are you tired of church but want more of Jesus? Are you ready for an encounter like none other? Or maybe you don’t even know what you believe yet. Here at Lakeside, you’re invited to ask questions, find hope, experience healing, and help change the world (not necessarily in that order). So what are you waiting for?

A Message from Our Lead Pastor

Lakeside 101

If you’re new to Lakeside, we invite you to join us for Lakeside 101. Our next event will be on Sunday, May 29 immediately following the gathering at Lakeside North. You’ll get to hear from some of our pastors and staff, and learn a little more about who we are. It’s also a great opportunity for us to get to know you. Refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP using the button below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to pre-register?

Pre-registration is not required anymore, but we ask that you self-screen prior to coming to the building. If you are feeling unwell or exhibiting symptoms, we ask that you stay home and watch online instead.

What can I expect if I come in person?

There will be a few songs (you can sing, sit, stand, dance, or clap), followed by some announcements, and a message from one of our pastors. You can engage with all of those components however you feel comfortable.

Do you have a program for kids?

We are in the process of rebuilding our Lakeside Kids program after the pandemic and we appreciate your patience as we open rooms as volunteers return. At Lakeside North, we offer a full program for kids in Grades 1-5. Parents with younger children are invited to stay with them in a family-friendly space where the gathering is live-streamed. At Lakeside Downtown, we have a program for kids in JK - Grade 5.

Do I have to wear a mask?

As of March 21, 2022 the provincial mask mandate has been lifted. If you come to one of our locations, you are not required to wear a mask, but you are also more than welcome to wear one if you decide to do so.

What do I wear?

The short answer is, whatever you feel comfortable in. The atmosphere at Lakeside is casual so some people come in jeans while other prefer to dress up a bit. You won't be out of place with either option.

What about older kids?

On Sunday mornings we've got a program (at our North location only) for Jr. High students in Grades 6-8. They start in the auditorium for worship and are invited to the Youth Lounge following the announcements. Outside of Sunday mornings, we've got youth nights on Wednesdays (Grades 9-12) and Fridays (Grades 6-8).

Our Story

We've got a story but we want to hear yours

Chances are you’ve already checked out Lakeside before landing on this page. Maybe you’ve watched a gathering online, been in person to one of our locations, perused our website, or followed us on social media. We’ve got a story and you don’t have to look far to find it. We’ve been part of this community for more than 30 years, and like any family, we’ve had our ups and downs. We’ve grown, we’ve changed, we’ve lived through a pandemic, but the one constant through all of that has been Jesus. As a community we’re learning more about who he is and how we let his radical love shape our lives – as individuals and as a church community. And so, we’re journeying together, and we invite you to come along. There is no shortage of churches you can attend, sermons you can watch, or programs you can be involved in, but if you’re looking for a place where you can be yourself, where you can learn more about Jesus, and where you can make a difference, then we think you just might belong here. Now that you know a little bit about us, we’d love to know about you. How can we help?

Meet Some
Lakesiders

We've been Lakeside Downtowners for almost five years. We instantly felt at home at the downtown campus and feel honoured to raise our boys in such a faithful, inspiring community. We are passionate about teaching our sons that they are never too young to make a difference.
The MacGregor Family
We have been attending Lakeside for about 25 years. During our time at Lakeside we have had the privilege of serving in various ministry areas. The 55+ Group and the Monday morning bible study group have been a very special part of our lives.
Syd & Edie Durose
We have been attending Lakeside since 2019 when we made the decision to make an effort to get involved with church in our local community. We love to worship Jesus. We are confident that God has been and continues to work in our family and in our community.
